67 Palestinians Killed by Israeli Occupation, Children and Women Included







67 Palestinian were killed in operations carried out by the Israeli authorities in the West Bank and Gaza Strip during the first half of this year, 2012, according to statistics of the International Solidarity Foundation for Human Rights.

Ahmad At-Tubasi, a lawyer and an activist at the International Solidarity Foundation said that among the martyrs; 48 Palestinian from the Gaza strip were killed in illegal assassination operations, which are comes in the top of the violations list that are committed against Palestinians.

At-Tubasi said that in the past two months, May and June, there has been an increasing in the number of operations carried out by Israeli forces that targeted Palestinians such as; bombing civilians' facilities, cars, motorcycles and houses, in addition to, incursions and infiltration of the special units into the Gaza Strip, where they killed 30 Palestinians in May, and 25 Palestinians in June.

Five Palestinians were killed in April, two Palestinians killed in February one in Gaza and the other in the West bank, and the solidarity foundation also recorded the death of five Palestinians January. For March, no death cases were recorded.

At-Tubasi said that among the martyrs, 16 out of them were children, (below the age 18), and 4 females; Fayza Mohammad al-Hasouni,30, was killed in Israeli bombing while she was planting the land with her father, Haneen Kamal Abu Jalala, 16, died due to serious injuries during the recent Israeli war on Gaza, three years ago, Asel Mahmoud Mussa Arara, 4, also died due to serious injuries, and Hadeel Ahmad Haddad, 2, who died in an Israeli aircraft bombing on her house in al-Zaytoun neighbourhood in Gaza.

At-Tubasi said that the Solidarity Foundation condemns the Israeli brutal practices from killings, violations of human rights conventions and the fourth Geneva Convention that states on protecting the civilians in the time of war for the year 1948, and ensure their human rights and safety.

He also stressed on the necessity to stand against the policy of assassinations, random bombing that the Israeli occupation practices in the Palestinian territories and violate the international law and conventions that put the Israeli practices under the category of War Crimes.

At- Tubasi is concerned for the lives of Palestinians, saying that they will always be threatened as long as legislations and regulations that allow the killing of humans are imposed by the Israeli authorities without any surveillance.
