syria

SUMMARY (03/10/2012): At least 122 martyrs today, including 10 children and 6 women, mostly in Damascus, Idlib and Hama. That excludes the dozens reported killed in the bomb blasts that seemed to target Assad's forces deployed in Saadallah Square in the center of Aleppo. As usual, too many places are under shelling and bombing to mention. The deadliest attack was an airstrike on a village in Idlib killing 20 people, 10 of them from the Barakat family. Meanwhile, a Turkish woman and her 4 kids were killed when a Syrian mortar landed on the city of Akçakale, the first Turks to be killed in cross-border fire. The Turkish army has responded with artillery fire against Assad's forces.
